What is Disaster CalFresh?

This information is current as of September 20, 2023.

Contact your county

Disaster CalFresh is a program that provides immediate food assistance for victims of natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, or fires. You could get up to a month’s benefits, or $281 per person in your household. If your community is approved for federal disaster relief, check here for locations on where to apply. You can get Disaster CalFresh even if you don't have immigration documentation, because it isn't considered a public benefit.

If you already get CalFresh, you are not eligible for Disaster CalFresh. Check with your county for supplemental disaster benefits. Request replacement benefits here.

If you have other questions, or see information on this page that is incorrect, talk to us on our live chat.
